ARET at IBC2026 with Two OB Trailers: 12G-SDI and IP ST 2110

At IBC2026, ARET Video & Audio Engineering will showcase two OB Trailers, bringing together 12G-SDI and IP ST 2110 architectures and demonstrating the company’s expertise in designing and integrating solutions for the evolving world of live production.

Tomorrow, IBC2026 officially opens its doors at RAI Amsterdam, and ARET Video & Audio Engineering will be there with a strong presence across the Outdoor Exhibits: two OB Trailers, two architectures, and one engineering vision.

For its 50th anniversary year, ARET is bringing together two different approaches to mobile production: its own 12G-SDI OB Trailer, on display at Outdoor Stand 0.A30, and the new EU-01 OB Trailer developed for NEP, presented at Outdoor Stand 0.A24 and built around an IP ST 2110 architecture.

Together, the two vehicles offer a direct demonstration of ARET’s ability to engineer, integrate and tailor complex mobile production environments according to different operational and technological requirements.

Two OB Trailers. Two architectures.

At 0.A30, visitors can step inside ARET’s own 12G-SDI OB Trailer, a box-over-box mobile production environment designed to combine high production capacity with a compact and efficient footprint.

The trailer provides approximately 30 m² of gallery space, 16 m² dedicated to vision and engineering, and a 9 m² audio room, with capacity for up to 30 operators.

The system integrates professional production, routing, monitoring and audio technologies, including a Lawo mc²56 production console with UHD Core 256 DSP, alongside connectivity and infrastructure supporting ST 2110, AES67/RAVENNA, MADI and Dante.

The result is a flexible and production-ready environment designed for demanding live applications, while reflecting ARET’s approach to precision, reliability and tailored engineering.

At 0.A24, visitors will find EU-01, the new OB Trailer delivered by ARET for NEP.

Built around IP ST 2110, EU-01 represents a different approach to mobile production, with a modern networked infrastructure designed to support scalable workflows and future-ready operations.

The vehicle is part of NEP’s standardised fleet strategy and has been developed to meet demanding international live production requirements, with an architecture designed around interoperability, flexibility and centralised orchestration through the NEP Platform.

The two trailers therefore tell an important story: SDI and IP are not competing answers, but different architectures that can be engineered to meet specific production needs.

Engineering the future of mobile production

ARET’s role goes beyond vehicle construction.

As a designer, coachbuilder and systems integrator, ARET manages projects from concept and vehicle design through engineering, integration, testing and delivery. This vertically integrated approach allows every mobile production environment to be developed around the customer’s operational requirements, rather than around a one-size-fits-all solution.

The two OB Trailers at IBC2026 demonstrate this philosophy in two different ways.

The ARET trailer showcases a powerful 12G-SDI environment, while the NEP EU-01 demonstrates the possibilities of an IP ST 2110-based workflow.

For visitors, this creates a unique opportunity to see two fully engineered approaches side by side and discuss with the ARET team how the right architecture can be selected and integrated for different applications, productions and future requirements.

A special milestone for ARET and NEP

The IBC2026 exhibition also marks an important moment for both companies.

On Friday 11 September at 16:30, ARET and NEP will officially inaugurate EU-01 in the Outdoor Exhibits, bringing together the teams behind the project at the area connecting 0.A22, 0.A24 and 0.A30.

The event will celebrate not only the arrival of a new vehicle, but also the collaboration behind it.

The timing is particularly meaningful for ARET, which is celebrating 50 years of engineering excellence in 2026, while NEP celebrates 40 years.

For ARET, the anniversary is an opportunity to look back at five decades of engineering experience while continuing to develop the mobile production environments that will support the next generation of live content.

Since its foundation in 1976, ARET has delivered more than 650 OB vehicles and completed over 2,000 turnkey projects across 40+ countries.

Visit ARET at IBC2026

From 11 to 14 September 2026, the ARET team will be available at Outdoor Stand 0.A30 to discuss current projects, mobile production solutions, systems integration and the future of broadcast and live production.

Visitors can also discover the NEP EU-01 OB Trailer at Outdoor Stand 0.A24, offering a closer look at the IP ST 2110 architecture delivered by ARET for NEP.

Two trailers. Two architectures. One engineering partner.

Lawo’s VSM (Virtual Studio Manager) broadcast control system, serving as the nerve center of the Alamiya OB truck, is unparalleled in its powerful and flexible IP-based control capabilities. Its seamless integration with a wide array of broadcast equipment, including video routers, audio consoles, and intercoms, makes it an ideal choice for managing resources efficiently. It also keeps evolving as ever more lighthouse projects require increasingly refined control and flexibility options. With its intuitive touch-enabled interface, Lawo’s VSM empowers producers with fast and accurate control over remote, distributed, and facility-wide resources and OB production trucks for exacting streamlined operations.

Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to experience the Alamiya OB-20 XL Semi-Trailer capabilities firsthand by joining ARET Booth (0.A07).
